Actually, how could you forget?
You know me. I’m the same guy who has walked among many of you and has never been shy about speaking my mind on a myriad of topics.
Some pieces are light-hearted, some are as serious as it gets. No matter what I’m talking about, I’m giving you my honest opinion with no holds barred. After all, it’s how my parents, Larry and Beverly, raised me to be.
I started this blog site a couple years ago and it was, in my humble opinion, a huge success as the site received over 67,000 views in just a few short months. That’s not bad for a purely local blog site.
I was forced to terminate The Just JTO Blog when I became the managing editor of the Mon Valley Independent, a newspaper I worked tirelessly to get off the ground with Mon Valley Publishing LLC and a few loyal former employees of The Valley Independent. I later became the general manager of the MVI.
However, at the end of January, I retired from the MVI, so here I am again … in front of a keyboard and saying exactly what is on my mind as I see it.
I’m excited to reach out to the thousands of loyal followers I attained before, along with a host of new ones.
I hope to keep my readers informed, entertained, happy, angered, sad and even stunned by what I have to say. The most important thing is that I keep your interest while earning your respect.
The greatest newsman I ever knew, the late R. Mitchell Steen, once told me that not everyone will agree with me … but they should respect me. I’ve spent my career trying to fulfill that premise.
Stay tuned for my future blogs on this site. You may not always agree with what I have to say, but I’m confident you won’t be able to wait for the next opinion.
